While Yucca schidigera extract (YSE) has shown various health benefits, including antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and gut health-improving effects, there is limited direct research linking YSE to the removal of microplastics from the gut. Here is what current studies and reviews suggest:

  1. Gut Health and Antimicrobial Activity: YSE contains steroidal saponins, which exhibit antibacterial and anti-protozoal properties. These compounds can modulate gut microbiota and improve gut function in animals, suggesting potential benefits in managing contaminants, including possibly mitigating the effects of ingested toxins like microplastics.
